Ryan Newman's Daytona 500 Press Pass race-used tire card now available

Press Pass began shipping copies of Ryan Newman's Daytona 500 winner race-used tire card to collectors last week, so now's the time to track one down or check the mailbox.
The card was available via a redemption that was included in the company's Daytona 500 50th anniversary set, which was released before the big race earlier this year. The recipient received an event-used memorabilia card of the winner -- outcome unknown at the time, of course. (Click on the back of the card, left, for a closer look.)

The sets were distributed via most retail chains, so this card isn't particularly rare, but it's, for now, one of the few cards noting Newman's most notable victory. The first couple copies of the card to appear on eBay have sold for less than $10, but I'd expect the card to fetch upwards of $20 or so.

The sliver of race-used tire is about 3/4 of an inch long, so for those doing the division at home, there were plenty of cards could be made from even one tire used during the Daytona 500.
